Mai Al Moataz is an artist, analog photographer, darkroom printer, designer, art collector, entrepreneur and the founder of Atelier Mai Al Moataz. She holds a double degree in business and economics, and has completed extensive studies in photography and image-based art.

In 2018, she established her eponymous brand, channeling her curiosity into the world of expression via the handmade. She is driven by a passion for craftsmanship, fashion, design, and intentionality. Her dedication and expertise have positioned her brand as a key stakeholder in the cultural preservation of Al Naqda.

She lives with her cat, Mehzouze, and is based in Bahrain.
